Karim Ansarifard scored four, Sardar Azmoun three, Mehdi Taremi and Mohammad Mohebi two each with Ahmad Noorollahi, Hossein Kanaani and Mehrdad Mohammadi also on the scoresheet as Team Melli took another step towards qualifying for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.

Tehran: Islamic Republic of Iran turned on the style as they scored an emphatic 14-0 win over Cambodia in Group C of the Asian Qualifiers on Thursday.
Karim Ansarifard scored four and Sardar Azmoun a hat-trick on a historic day for Iranian football, as Asia's top ranked side's show of classy football was also watched by female fans at the iconic Azadi Stadium - for the first time in 40 years - with thousands in the stands.
Mehdi Taremi and Mohammad Mohebi registered braces while Ahmad Noorollahi, Hossein Kanaani and Mehrdad Mohammadi scored one each as Iran secured their second consecutive win, having opened their campaign to qualify for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 with a 2-0 triumph over Hong Kong last month.

Basra: Iraq secured their first victory of the Asian Qualifiers after defeating Hong Kong 2-0 in Group C at the Basra Sport City on Thursday.
Playing their first Qualifier on home soil since 2011, the victory revived their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 hopes after having settle for a 1-1 draw with Bahrain on Matchday One.
It was Hong Kong’s second defeat, having lost 2-0 to Islamic Republic of Iran after opening their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Cambodia.

Saitama: Yuto Nagatomo revelled in scoring his first goal in a decade as Japan strolled to a 6-0 win over Mongolia on Thursday to establish themselves at the summit of Group F of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The Galatasaray full-back netted his side’s third goal in a comfortable win over their East Asian rivals after Takumi Minamino had given Hajime Moriyasu’s side the lead and Maya Yoshida doubled the home team’s advantage.
