Victoria: Oman ended their FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025 campaign with a 11-1 defeat to reigning champions Brazil in their concluding Group D tie on Tuesday.

Oman’s hopes of reaching the quarter-finals were dashed prior to the start of the match after Italy had secured a 5-0 win over El Salvador earlier in the day.

Victoria: Islamic Republic of Iran concluded their FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025 Group B campaign with a 7-5 defeat to two-time champions Portugal on Monday.

The loss saw AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ Thailand 2025 champions Iran finishing second in Group B, setting up a quarter-final meeting against Group A winners Belarus on Thursday. Portugal will face Japan.

Bouncing back from Saturday’s 6-3 defeat to Belarus, Japan’s win secured them second spot in Group A and the three-time AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup™ champions will next take on Group B winners Portugal in the quarter-finals.

Hohhot: Whenever the Chinese Taipei women’s futsal national team take to the court, they do so knowing that they are in good hands.

Since taking up the sport at the start of 2024, Chu Fang-Yi has established herself as a reliable presence in goal and her abilities were on full display again on Tuesday as Chinese Taipei opened their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 campaign with a 6-1 win against Uzbekistan.

Chu pulled off several stunning stops to ensure that their opponents could not find a way back into the game at the Hohhot Sports Centre and was proud of her side’s performance.

Group A: Uzbekistan 1-6 Chinese Taipei

Hohhot: Chinese Taipei produced a convincing display on Tuesday to defeat Uzbekistan 6-1 in their opening match at the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025.

Despite going a goal down at the Hohhot Sports Centre, Chinese Taipei hit back strongly to take home all three points ahead of their next match against China PR on Thursday, with Uzbekistan to face Australia.

The reigning champions have won all of their 10 matches in the competition’s history and will be confident of adding a third crown.
