Lodz: Japan walked away with a share of the spoils after a thrilling 2-2 draw with the USA in their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026 tie on Wednesday.

The result left the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026™ champions second in Group D after Italy beat New Zealand 3-0 in the other match, with a tie against the European side on Saturday.

Having opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw against France, Korea Republic will now need a positive result in their final group match against Ecuador on Saturday to boost their hopes of reaching the Round of 16.

Sosnowiec: China PR kickstarted their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026 Group F campaign with an emphatic 5-0 win against New Caledonia on Monday.

Huang Jiaxin scored a devastating 12-minute hat-trick as China PR stepped up a gear in the second half to break a brave resistance from New Caledonia.

The Asian side also had Chen Ruilin to thank for the victory, with the half-time substitute assisting four out of her side's five goals.
